04. Your Ads Aren’t Bad. Your Creative Might Be.

A campaign isn’t performing. So the audience changes. Then the budget changes. Then the campaign objective changes.

Then someone says: “Maybe the algorithm is the problem.”

Sometimes it is. But sometimes the campaign simply has an ad nobody wants to look at.

Performance marketing is measurable. That’s the beauty of it. But numbers can also make marketers forget that there’s an actual human sitting on the other side of the screen.

That person isn’t waiting for your advertisement. They’re scrolling. Your creative has to interrupt that behaviour.

The first few seconds matter. The visual matters. The message matters. The offer matters. And most importantly, the entire thing needs to give someone a reason to stop.

A beautifully structured campaign can’t save creative that nobody notices. And increasing the budget won’t magically make boring content interesting.

Before changing the entire campaign, look at the thing your audience sees first.

The creative might not have failed the campaign. It might just never have given the campaign a fair chance.
